UPDATE: July, 2012
I have learned a lot about WordPress and its system since April/May 2012. Since then I have learned there were tools that existed and how to use those tools that existed within WORDPRESS. I’m still learning.
This Blog theme was the best choice for my purpose but I believed the background color, size of the text and the muted color was not desired for extensive reading. The default background is black, the text is grey. It may be different for each reader respective to the personal settings of their browser.
Until now my focus has been:
1. WRITING THE ARTICLES
2. THEIR PRESENTATION
5. MANAGING/SERIALIZING THE SERIES
For the most part the MAY, 2012 information still applies but, in addition to it, I have been seeking a system or program that will assist with the information management, specifically, the Blogs’ (24/26 at this writing) information.
I want to be thorough in presenting the information but I also want to avoid duplicating information. The formatting I’m using is for quick recognition, indexing, sequencing, cross referencing, etc. The more variables I have the better.
The difficulty lies in the fact that each Blog has a independent, standalone structure. Aside from the LINKS and MENUS that I have created to give it a look and feel of a Series, it is mostly just an independent Blog.
The links and menus are fully functional but there is no interconnection of information of the other Blogs for the purposes I need.
Search functionality, meta tags, etc does not go beyond each specific Blog structure.
(Unless I just have not found it yet. I am still a newbie at WordPress.)
Many of the features I would like to implement is in the PRO version which means I would have to upgrade and that would mean fees.
I have had my hands full with just sorting, categorizing and designating Blogs for the questions but, whenever I really need something, the LORD turns my hand or head and EUREKA! there it is.
As I progress I hope to have a streamlined look with less intrusive formatting or coding.
Please be patient. Any questions? Use the form below.
